About the firm

Being charged with a criminal offence is one of the few experiences that can affect every part of your life at once: your liberty, your job, your licence, your family, your ability to travel, and how people see you.

Many people who ring us have never dealt with the criminal justice system before. They do not know what a summons means, whether they have to talk to police, what will happen at the first mention, or whether they are going to prison. The uncertainty can sometimes feel worse than the charge.

Our job is to remove that uncertainty as quickly as possible. We will tell you honestly where you stand, explain what happens next in language you can actually use, and prepare the case properly.

You will deal directly with the lawyer running your matter. We are a firm of three — there is nobody behind the curtain.

We will also always speak to you in plain English. If you leave a meeting unsure what happens next, we have not done our job.

If police want to interview you, get advice before you decide whether to answer questions. What you say becomes evidence, and people routinely talk their way into charges they would not otherwise have faced.
